The Five Pillars of Belief

To every nation We appointed acts of devotion, which they observe,

so let them not dispute with thee in the matter, and call to thy Lord.

Surely thou art on a right guidance.

Holy Qur'an 22:67

1.      Belief in One Supreme God, Whose Proper Name is Allah, and Messenger Muhammad.

We believe Allah, came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad and The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad is his Last and Greatest Messenger

2.      Belief in Praying at least five times a day.

Our Messenger taught us that

"The prayer is recited standing erect with face towards the east with hands raised..."

and that  this position is "...especially designed... for those lost sheep (the so-called Negroes)..."

3.      Belief in Giving Charity

4.      Belief in Fasting, especially during the Month of Ramadan.

Followers of Messenger Elijah Muhammad's Teachings observe Ramadan in the Month of December, every year, instead of the month they say Muhammad received the Holy Qur'an.
